Collection: Blues

I have great faith in the creative powers of chance. While experimenting with the chromatic adjustment settings in my drawing software, I stumbled upon this very distinctive ultramarine blue.

It instantly reminded me of the famous Klein Blue that the French artist Yves Klein discovered in the 1950s and used in numerous stunning monochrome works.
This color cannot be tied to the material world, it is the color of pure sensitivity. It is also a hue that, in the natural world, relates to the most abstract elements: the sky and the sea. According to Yves Klein, "Blue has no dimensions. It is beyond dimensions, whereas other colors do have them."

The special metallic finish chosen for printing this "Blues" series acts as a booster for this spectacular shade of blue.
